We thought that among other things we will be posting weekly a premiere review.
So for this week we've chosen the film "Beowulf" ::
Directed by: Robert Zemeckis (/=Polar Express)
Cast: Ray Winstone (voice), Anthony Hopkins (voice), Robin Wright Penn (voice), Angelina Jolie (voice)
Genre: Fantasy, Action, Adventure
Story: In the age of heroes comes the mightiest warrior of them all, Beowulf. After destroying the overpowering demon Grendel, he incurs the undying wrath of the beast's ruthlessly seductive mother, who will use every means possible to ensure revenge. The ensuing epic battle resonates throughout the ages, immortalizing the name of Beowulf.
Review: This film is adviced to those who enjoy Fantasy Films or who liked the visual effects in "The Polar Express". You can expect fights and lot of bodies flying around, a not so recognizable Anthony Hopkins as the king Hrothgar and an over-reacted Angelina Jolie, leaving only reliable the caracthers of Ray Winstone (Beowulf) and Robin Wright Penn (Wealthow).
Although this story has being said to be the inspiriton of J.R.R Tolkien, the film is no match to Jackson's trilogy. Beowulf is only a drop in the big ocean, which constituted by others of the genre such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, the disappointing Eragon, among others.
Notice that the film is being showed all over the country in two versions: the 2D and the 3D, we advice seeing it on the 3D one.
